This position is well-suited for a talented, highly experienced individual who is interested in being a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects involving anything from landfills, mines, brownfield redevelopments and other water and waste containment systems, to deep foundations, retaining walls, dams, levees and other critical infrastructure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Civil design, landfill design, vapor mitigation design, and site layout;
- Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seepage;
- Developing and maintaining technology leadership and marketplace visibility in personal market/practice area;
- Leading project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Leading preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
- Managing fieldwork associated with design and construction services;
- Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables;
- Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
- Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business;
- Developing business opportunities/market sectors with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.
- Implementing creativity, foresight, and mature technical and managerial judgment and the ability to solve problems, determine program objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects; and
- Managing or mentoring of early or mid-career staff.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.). (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Knowledge of relevant geotechnical engineering software. (required)
- Knowledge of numerical modeling tools. (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
- Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
