Annual Wage Range: $164,717.60 - $226,486.70Other Compensation:  Eligibility for the Short-Term Incentive program and other applicable bonuses  Benefits: U.S. Employee Benefits Summary (grace.com) Final salary and compensation will be based on several factors including candidate qualifications and experience, geographical location, market, and business considerations.Job DescriptionWe’re hiring a Site Operations Director who will be embedded within our Lake Charles, LA manufacturing site and play a crucial role in helping to drive our strong safety culture. Our Lake Charles facility is one of the largest refining catalyst plants in the world and is an OSHA VPP Star-certified site. Our site and team represent over half of the Grace’s catalyst manufacturing capacity, which supplies a significant portion of the world’s refining technology catalysts. We employ over 380 employees.ResponsibilitiesDevelops Operations Leadership teamProvides Area Operations Managers first line of support for resolving resource and coordination issues within the site – on and off-shiftSets clear targets and Conducts Daily site-wide Performance ReviewDetermines and leads capital and cost reduction priorities site wideWorks with EHS&S, QA, Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Managers to drive continuous improvement and coordinate resourcesInterfaces with corporate functional teams (Global Operations, EHSSQ, HR) and aligns priorities acrossEnsures compliance with EHS&S standardsCoordinates staffing and determines proper staffing balance across the siteAccountable for the financial performance of each area. Involved in the monthly S&OP processEnsures inventory procedures are maintained and accuracy is consistentCommunicates daily and weekly site performance. Coordinates lab priorities to meet operations needsPhysical Requirements and EnvironmentAbility to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
