Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Schedule: * Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm * Provider will round in the morning, and every third day they will take a turn managing all hospital calls/consults, etc. (during shift hours) * NO CALL on evenings or weekends - only during regular business hours * The need is for 2-3 weeks per month Job Description: * Candidates must be Board Certified in Psychiatry (Will not accept BE) * Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up is preferred * Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults NOT OPEN TO TELEHEALTH * Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-12 * Total Number of Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents * How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group? 1 part-time inpatient right now * How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group? 2 * How Many Psychologists? Zero, inpatient * Documentation System/EMR: Cerner * Trauma Level/Designation III * Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car * Safety/Security Measures in Place: security on each campus * Required Treatment Disorders: Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders * Required to have familiarity with Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER * Not accepting visa candidates * Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days *
