Requisition No: 838661 Agency: Department of Education Working Title: PROGRAM SPECIALIST II-DOE - 48003679 1 Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: 48003679 Salary: $33,760.00 Posting Closing Date: 12/05/2024 Total Compensation Estimator Tool (https://compcalculator.myflorida.com/) The PSII position plays a key role in preparing case files for hearing and preparing Final Orders once hearings are concluded. The PSII position also completes the following tasks at hearings: serves as the time keeper for each hearing, assist commission members with travel documents and travel questions, handles all problems that arise during hearings, Liaison with security and court reporter, assist with set up and break down of the hearing materials, assist with trainings that occur at every hearing cycle, provides a presentation at each business meeting that provide office updates and assist commission member as needed. These responsibilities are necessary to the functions of the EPC. Reviews all EPC Orders and all transcripts for accuracy and submits post-hearing reports about timeliness and errors. Liaisons with EPC's Legal Counsel, paralegal and court reporting agencies to ensure accuracy and timeliness of Final Orders and transcripts. Prepares agendas for hearing in ICMS. Trains all staff on proper use of EPC's paperless system. Tracks data and submits reports as scheduled. Prepares and electronically distributes supplemental hearing materials as required. Reviews, tabs, organizes and prepares all case materials, mitigation and other documents for hearing and distributes to members and partners electronically in advance of hearing and based on established timelines. Files and monitors formal hearing cases through the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) as needed. Oversees the work routine of the Secretary Specialist and provides guidance, support and training as needed. Assigns and tracks deadlines for case closeouts and paperless file updates through DOAH, NASDTEC, ICMS and EPC. Attends EPC hearings/meetings as required.
