Job Description
The incumbent is primarily responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of production department operations which also includes the performance of all functions within the department.
• Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
• Coordinate production activities with warehouse, procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of machines and equipment.
• Conduct Daily Production meetings.
• Review and analyze quality, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
-Drive integrity of shopfloor data to drive improvements at the facility. Meet regularly with teams to identify areas for improvement and share results.
• Compiles distributes, evaluates, and actions production metrics.
• Develop and revise production schedules and priorities as a result of customer requirements, equipment failure, or operating problems.
• Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
• Identify and develop continuous improvements to production processes with the supervisors and Lead Lean experts.
• Ensures process corrective actions are addressed in a timely manner and are effective, including conducting audits of effectiveness.
• Ensure that supervisors are aware of and adhere to plant safety rules and regulations. Works with the supervisors to develop a safety culture with zero accidents/incidents.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained and operated in a safe manner.

Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $87,300 to $143,500/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. - Maintain a clean environment that enhances plant safety. Conduct 5S audits. Ensure 5S audit actions are addressed in a timely manner and are effective.
- Ensure that employees know and understand customer and quality requirements and standards.
- Set the quality direction to maintain production throughput while meeting/ exceeding quality requirements.
- Maintain employee awareness and adherence to ISO standards and procedures.
- Lead successful output of site production operations and achievement of operational goals.
- Set goals for employees throughout and/or department standards.
- Evaluate and provide training as needed, setting in place a long-term training strategy. Drive apprentice programs as needed.
- Evaluate equipment needs and propose changes to meet site objectives.
- Assign employees to work schedules, and work centers, and plan appropriate levels based on production needs and capacity.
- Troubleshoot processes and/or procedures.
- Review site operations goals with department employees. Be sure results are understood by employees along with goal expectations, and hold teams accountable.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports in a timely manner. Recommend increases in compensation in accordance with pre-determined guidelines. Hold employees accountable for performance.
- Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and Objectives, as well as OSHA rules and regulations, are understood and enacted. Drive compliance with all standards as appropriate including cGMP, SOC2, etc.
- Participate in and satisfactorily complete all required training programs for the assigned position.
- Perform other duties assigned by management representatives within the scope of responsibility and the requirements of the job.
