Overview We seek a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team at Starcom as an Associate Director in Talent Management. Reporting directly to the Talent Management Director, you will be based in our New York office, offering a hybrid work arrangement with three in-office days per week. As an Associate Director, you will be pivotal in fostering positive employee experiences and maintaining a positive work environment. Your responsibilities will encompass various HR generalist tasks, including employee relations, performance management, and investigation conducting. With your solid background in employee relations, you will provide guidance and support to managers and employees, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with intricate employee relations issues and a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Human Resources Generalist. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will collaborate closely with employees at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities Help drive people initiatives focusing on retention, engagement, recognition, and talent management Work in partnership with our people team to deliver strategic talent consulting to our internal clients with a focus on transparent performance management Oversee complex employee relations matters and conduct investigations to minimize organizational risk Coach and advise management on performance management, disciplinary matters. Contribute to the development and implementation of Talent programs such as corporate social responsibility, employee development programs, performance management and mentorship programming Oversee compliance of annual processes including performance management, while effectively linking to business strategy Partner with the Talent Director and leadership on action plans from survey results and performance reporting Provide counseling and support on corporate policies and benefit programs Advise and respond quickly to management needs regarding general Talent & HR issues Work in partnership with Starcom’s DE&I Lead to execute initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive work environment Assist with the ideation, planning, and execution of employee engagement activities. Support team with ad hoc projects. Handles other duties as assigned Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work at all levels of the organization Detail-orientated and highly motivated, self-starter, able to multi-task and work well under pressure Willing to go that extra mile to deliver high quality output Great problem-solving skills Strong understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Candidate must have strong organizational skills Education/Knowledge: College diploma; Knowledge of general HR practices, policies and pertinent legislation governing employment relations (Degree in Human Resources management and/or PHR certification preferred) Ability to drive multiple priorities and projects Additional Qualifications: Proven knowledge of the applied foundations of Employment Law – FMLA, ADA, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, hostile work environment Experience applying values that promote and honor diversity, equity and inclusion in the employee life cycle Highly responsive, client focused professional who works well in a team environment Exceptional judgement, initiative, follow-through, and attention to detail Advertising Agency or Professional Services Experience strongly preferred Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and mitigating challenging employee issues, including performance improvement plans and terminations Excellent analytical skills - comfortable working with data, analyzing results, identifying root causes and using metrics for planning purposes Experience/Skill: 5-7 Years in the Human Resources field in a similar role Additional Information Our Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” means we’re better together, and we believe that our differences make us stronger. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
