DescriptionWe are on the lookout for a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role involves leading the financial operations of the organization, developing financial strategies, implementing financial reporting systems, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. The individual will be part of the construction industry and will play a key role in the growth and development of the organization.Responsibilities:• Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, identifying monetary resources, and developing action plans.• Implement and manage financial reporting and forecasting systems that capture the critical elements of the business segments and key financial metrics.• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements, registrations, and tax filings.• Develop relationships with banks and outside accounting partners to optimize business conditions.• Coordinate and optimize treasury management across all companies.• Lead risk management efforts including the creation of proper internal controls and systems, analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.• Oversee insurance programs for adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness; oversee the authorship of specifications and request for proposals for purchase of and negotiation of insurance contracts.• Implement policies and procedures for purchasing and contract management.• Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team.For immediate consideration, contact Mark, mark.loiacano@roberthalf.c0mRequirements• Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the finance sector, preferably with a focus on construction industry.• Should possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications are highly advantageous.• Proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.• Proficiency in using financial software and databases is a must.• Strong understanding of tax codes, legislation, compliance, and regulations in the finance industry.• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate financial strategies and results to the management and stakeholders.• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.• Solid decision-making skills with a knack for choosing the right course of action.• Proficient in developing and implementing operational efficiency improvements.For immediate consideration, contact Mark, mark.loiacano@roberthalf.c0mJob typePerm
