A facility is seeking a pediatric anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The clinician will provide pediatric call coverage one week at a time from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., with the facility needing assistance one to two weeks each month. These beeper calls will be taken from home, as there is no anesthesia tech support after hours. Caudal anesthesia skills are required for NICU cases, which typically involve procedures like exploratory laparotomies, NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis) cases, and urgent surgeries for neonatal birth abnormalities. For these cases, the clinician will be directly involved, sitting for the infants procedures themselves.
