Construction Litigation Attorney

Our client, a well-regarded boutique law firm in northwest metro Atlanta, has an immediate opening for a Construction Litigation Attorney who can join the firm on a full-time basis. This is a full-time, contract opportunity that has the potential to become a permanent position at the firm for a candidate who is the right fit.

Job Title: Construction Litigation Attorney

Hours: 40 hours per week

Start date: ASAP

Duration: No end date, potential for temp to perm

Setup: Hybrid

Rate: $75-80/hour

The candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions practice, conducting discovery (including document review and e-discovery) and depositions, handling hearings and mediations, preparing for and participating in trials and/or arbitration hearings.

Requirements:

-Georgia law license in good standing

-Experience handling all facets of commercial litigation from pre-litigation evaluation and negotiation through trial.

-Construction experience and familiarity with Georgia lien laws

-Ability to incorporate overall litigation strategy into day-to-day tasks and familiarity with Georgia Civil Practice Act and local rules a must.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts
