Elite Sourcing LLC is partnering with a prestigious law firm that specializes in employment law. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Associate to join their team. As an Employment Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination claims, workplace investigations, and wage and hour disputes. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in negotiations and courtroom proceedings. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, policies, and agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations and courtroom proceedings.
- Conduct workplace investigations.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of litigation experience defending federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions.
- Experience handling investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC and other state and local human rights agencies.
- Experience appearing before the National Labor Relations Board regarding matters related to union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, union elections, and arbitrations.
- Experience handling employment litigation in federal and state court.
- JD from an ABA accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in California.
