Job Title: Heavy Mechanical Assembler Weekly Pay starting at $20/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled Heavy Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will construct components of crane systems, working with various models. You will use hand tools, power tools, and follow blueprints to assemble components accurately. This position requires blueprint reading, diagram interpretation, and adherence to assembly instructions to ensure high-quality construction. Responsibilities Plan work flow and lay out jobs. Inspect parts for adherence to specifications; grind or torch as needed. Fill counter weights, cut and stamp gaskets. Assemble hydraulics and air lines. Locate parts needed for the assembly process. Lubricate and grease parts. Assemble cranes and crane sub-assemblies for standard products and first-run or pilot products. Ensure bearings, seals, and hydraulics fit and operate according to instructions. Assist in maintaining the flow of work through the department. Ensure production specifications and quality standards are met. Operate and perform final check of finished products. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Follow and comply with all safety regulations and practices. Complete all required paperwork. Essential Skills Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools. Proficiency in reading blueprints and diagrams. Two years of experience in heavy assembly or mechanical work. Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams. Mechanical troubleshooting knowledge. Knowledge of how mechanical parts fit and work together. Additional Skills & Qualifications Education equivalent to the ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic. Up to three months of experience in assembling. Ability to use small hand and power tools. Experience in automotive mechanics, hydraulic mechanics, or military mechanics is highly desirable. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing facility with moderate to loud noise levels from power tools and welding equipment. The majority of the workday is spent near mechanical moving parts, with some time spent outdoors in varying weather conditions. The first shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6am to 4:30pm, with some weekend work required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, Texas.
