Overview

The Social Media Manager is responsible for helping to create the "voice" of Fontainebleau across all relevant social media platforms, working to grow audiences and effectively communicate with the Fontainebleau community. This position works closely with internal team members and external influencers to maximize engagement and implement effective and consistent content across all platforms.

The Social Media Manager will be located at The JW Marriott Turnberry.

Responsibilities

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Develop appropriate and relevant original, high-quality content to both promote the Fontainebleau brand and drive audience engagement.
  2. Create innovative and measureable ways to communicate our stories and messaging to key internal and external audiences.
  3. Collaborate with Director of Social Media to manage the social editorial calendar, posting schedule, and write social copy that connects with our community and enhances our brand story.
  4. Plan and coordinate quarterly (at minimum) content photo/video shoots with support from team, ensuring all content is in-line with brand goals and strategies.
  5. Utilize social media management tools such as Sprout Social to track KPIs, analyze data and develop reports to communicate overall social impact.
  6. Keep pace with industry trends and use them to improve how we do business and drive results.
  7. Benchmark and monitor competitor and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices.
  8. Act as our resident expert on all things social, including best practices, testing emerging platforms, and competitive analysis.
  9. Actively initiate new practices/strategies to optimize social media exposure during events and hotel-wide initiatives.
  10. Ensure all social communication meets brand guidelines, standards, and tone.
  11. Facilitate partnerships with influencers to create marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, channel growth and engagement.
  12. Alongside the Director of Social Media, assist with the development and overall social media advertising campaign.
  13. In conjunction with the operations and monitoring team, act as a customer service lead when handling escalations on social media platforms.
  14. Support our public relations agencies to highlight press mentions across social media platforms.
  15. Integrate public relations initiatives into editorial calendar to develop timely content aligned with pitches.


Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in social media, multimedia and visual communications with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Self-starter capable of working as an excellent team player or independently.
  • Strong, conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of design capabilities.
  • Demonstrates a clear knowledge and familiarity of business priorities and initiatives.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling and organizational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of internal and external customer focused needs.
  • Successfully manage time and multiple projects, while remaining flexible in order to meet strict and sometimes aggressive deadlines with consistent quality performance.
  • Able to collaborate with members of the communications and marketing teams and effectively communicate ideas.
  • Able to measure results and present them effectively to company leadership in a proactive and easy-to-digest format.
  • Preferred skills: Graphic Design, Photography, Branding, Social Media Marketing, Mac, Adobe Design Programs, WordPress, Blogging, Journalistic Writing.
  • Experience using social media tools such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Meta Insights and Adobe Analytics. Facebook Blueprint Certification a plus.
  • Desire and ability to both lead and execute, with passion for seeing plans in action and having a measurable impact on company success.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute creative vision in relation to content and new ideas.
