We are seeking a board-certified Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens assignment in the Ashford area, with potential opportunities for locum-to-permanent transition.

Position Details:
  • Location: Washington State, near Ashford
  • Position: Locum Tenens - Interventional Radiology Physician
  • Setting: Hospital-based practice in a Level 3 Trauma Center
  • Schedule:
    • Day Shift: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Call Coverage: Required for the full week if on rotation
    • Weekend Requirements: Full 24-hour call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Caseload: Approximately 8-11 cases daily, with a high volume of paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies
Facility Highlights:
  • Emergency Volume: Approximately 55,000 annual ER visits
  • EMR System: EPIC, with teleradiology support via Philips ISite platform
  • Support Staff: Includes two local interventional radiologists and a team of IR support professionals
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a variety of imaging and interventional procedures:
    • Required Imaging Procedures: Angiography, CT, and Ultrasound
    • Required Interventional Procedures: Angioplasty, stent placement, chemoembolization, embolization, aortic aneurysm endograft stenting, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and kyphoplasty
  • Collaborate with a large team of radiologists across the health system
Qualifications:
  • Board Certification: AOBR or ABR in Interventional Radiology Required
  • Fellowship Training: Strongly preferred in Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Licensure: Active Washington State medical license Required
  • Certifications: ACLS certification Required
Credentialing:
  • Timeframe: Approximately 3-4 months to complete credentialing
