Description ABOUT THIS ROLE: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and within budget. This role involves managing a team of production supervisors, production workers, coordinating with other departments, and implementing strategies to increase productivity and quality. STATEMENT OF WORK: Manage and coordinate with production supervisors the work of various production cells to support the manufacturing and distribution processes for the organization. M onitor production processes, adjusts or revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems. Ensure adequate staffing levels and redistribution of staff to other cells based upon business need across the entire plant. Support production supervisors in continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of efficiency and excellence to enhance operational performance and achieve strategic goals. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management on the performance of supervisors and work cells. Organize and oversee the schedules, requests for time off and workload of assigned team members. Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive in accordance with company review periods. Manage training of production supervisors in all company and department policies, procedures, and best practices. Coordinates with supervisors for production employee and work cell training needs with training department as required. Manage/support discipline and appropriate disciplinary action for Production Supervisors/Production employees with guidance from Human Resources and in accordance with company policy. Consult with HR on hiring strategies for open roles and provide recommendation for final hiring decision. Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team for developing and enhancing workflow policies that improve efficiency. Support Production Supervisors with the resolution of work and employee issues. Identify/Report quality problems and work with Quality Teams to initiate action(s) to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product or process and the quality system. Work cross functionally with multiple teams to ensure compliance to all safety guidelines in all areas of the shop. Follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written. Perform any other task/activity assigned by the Director of Manufacturing within the scope of manufacturing/distribution operations. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System. Responsible for building a collaborative team and highlighting Sealing Devices SCORE Values in daily work activities. Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 on an annual basis.
