The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $88,700.00 - $150,800.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance. Your Role:
The Operations Manager will lead and optimize operations within an automated distribution center, driving efficiency, lean process improvements, and seamless execution. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence in a cutting-edge environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Automated Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including the receipt, processing, storage, and shipment of materials, with a focus on leveraging automation systems such as conveyors, robotics, and PLCs.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement lean process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and accuracy, with a focus on automated workflows.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and coordinate schedules for shipping, receiving, and inventory management to regulate the flow of goods and maximize space utilization.
- Facility & Equipment Oversight: Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of operational procedures, warehouse space utilization, and the maintenance and protection of facilities and automation equipment.
- Executive Communication: Prepare and present executive summaries, operational updates, and key performance metrics to senior leadership, effectively communicating challenges, solutions, and results.
- Project Leadership: Drive and manage automation-focused projects, including system upgrades, retrofitting, and new technology implementations, to maintain the facility's competitive edge.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in automated distribution or fulfillment centers, with hands-on exposure to warehouse automation systems, such as conveyors, robotics, and PLCs.
- Proven expertise in lean process improvement and project management, particularly in environments that include automation upgrades or system implementations.
- Previous experience of working in a high volume distribution center.
- Leadership:
- Demonstrated success in leading teams of experienced professionals, setting goals, and driving operational excellence.
- Has strong leadership skills, including leading and developing both associates and supervisors.
- Ability to inspire and develop team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth understanding of warehouse automation technologies and operational processes within distribution or fulfillment environments.
- Strategic Communication:
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver executive summaries, operational insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Education: A four-year college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of functional experience in automated environments, including 4 years in a manager-level leadership role.
- Strong project management skills and familiarity with methodologies for implementing and optimizing automation systems.
- Regularly applies advanced technical knowledge and operational expertise to day-to-day activities and long-term strategy development.
- Fluency in Spanish or Hindi (spoken) is preferred.
