The Applications Director is a hybrid remote position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office four days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Lead multiple teams to develop new systems and integrate with existing systems. Drive the technology being used as well as establish and enforce standards. Manage Offshore, Nearshore, and Onshore contractor teams. Lead the implementation/introduction of new systems and provide support for new system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Has built Offshore Teams.
• Has lead Development and Implementation of supply-chain operational systems.
• Has demonstrated Excellent Project Management Skills.
• Has experience with Managing Managers.
• Been exposed to significant customizations around Package Software.
• Strong Oracle/PL SQL Skills and other Development Platforms like Mongo, Kafka, Confluent, Java Angular, APIs, etc.
• Managed multiple Support teams.
• Managed development of online web security.
• 10+ Years in Application Development.
• Develop plans for his/her group consistent with the development/maintenance planning cycle. Included in these responsibilities are project plans, assistance in budget preparation and annual specific objectives.
• Conduct performance appraisals for personnel in a timely fashion and initiates salary administration action when appropriate.
• Review summary project control information on a regular basis to assure that projects are on schedule and institute corrective action when required.
• Allocate development resources to support project schedules.
• Maintain a close working relationship with User Management to assure that information needs are recognized, well developed and translated into meaningful and user friendly information systems.
• This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have a bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Have at least 10 years of broad-based experience in specific and related disciplines of the business, including progressive experience in formal leadership roles.
  • Have a detailed understanding of both the technical and business processes for a large organization in the grocery, convenience, or fast food industry.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Access, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint).
  • Be able to travel to divisions to support in upgrades, new implementations, creation or opening of new divisions.
  • Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
