We are looking for an A&R that will play a crucial role in our Global A&R team. This role is located at our New York office.

Job Summary:

Your role will be to make sure that we sign and develop artists that can make the best sounds in the world for professional creators, by contributing to roster and release management, reviewing music and scouting new artists.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and recommend new talent to Epidemic Sound - from scouting to signing
  • Provide creative input and direction on artists material and recording career
  • Plan budgets for assigned projects keeping within scheduled timeline
  • Oversee the recording, production, mixing & mastering of artist songs/projects, review and provide feedback
  • Act as liaison for assigned artists - plan upcoming releases or/and creative vision
  • Work closely with internal departments including Marketing, Rights Management, Music Development, Artist Engagement, DSP Partnerships to name a few
  • Responsibility for all contributor data being logged, make sure that tracks go through our system and other administrative tasks
  • Develop and maintain relationships within our industry, for instance with managers, attorneys, artists and producers

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years A&R Experience from a management company, label or publisher - with a demonstrated track record of discovering new talent
  • Having managed and developed a roster of 15+ artists/songwriters/producers
  • Extensive experience of working across multi-genres
  • Proven track record of having worked full release cycle: from recording to release
  • Experience of scouting and closing deals with artists, songwriters and producers
  • Strong musical and music production proficiency, comfortable giving musical feedback on songwriting, production, and mix
  • Excellent administrative skills in managing calendars, schedules, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Great communication skills, you are clear and effective in your message and take responsibility for understanding others

Preferred Qualifications/ Bonus Skills:
  • Experience of working with market-leading DAWs
  • Network of musicians, artists, managers, influencers, and producers
