Account Manager, New Business Development - Bay Area

We are looking for someone who excels in the challenge of finding new business opportunities with new Rohde &Schwarz customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. As one of our Test & Measurement Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. This role takes place in a fast-paced technical environment that provides continuous opportunity for growth in the test and measurement industry. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems.

The total compensation for this position is $180K-220K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic sales initiatives and active prospecting
- Understand customer needs and position Rohde & Schwarz to meet those needs for Digital, Electrical, Power Integrity, and RF Engineering customers
- Find and foster new customer relationships alongside other Account Managers in the region
- Build and manage a strong Account Plan and sales funnel for multiple strategic customers
- Manage customer opportunities and projects while working closely with R&D, Product Specialists and Marketing colleagues
- Actively learn and understand our competition's products
- Provide input and feedback to Product Marketing, Service and development groups on customer product and application requirements.

Your qualifications
- BSEE or equivalent technology education
- 5+ years of test equipment sales experience or technical sales experience
- An understanding of digital, power, and RF test industries and technologies
- Experience in managing complex and technical accounts
- The ideal candidates will have a passion for achieving sales results, an intense focus on customer service, and continuously looking to grow business
- Enthusiastic and responsive to customer requests and questions
- Curious of new technologies and testing requirements, with a desire to improve our customer's capabilities
- Ability to work successfully and eagerly within a team environment with active communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
- To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.
