What You'll Do:

We are seeking a strategic Director Programmatic Sales to join our NYC team. This role is essential in driving our programmatic strategy, establishing and maintaining key partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of programmatic campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Programmatic Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive programmatic strategy aligned with Zefr's business objectives to drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with trading and agency leads and programmatic clients to enhance Zefr's offerings.
  • Sales Leadership: Develop and close opportunities across the full sales cycle, inclusive of leveraging existing network and surfacing new sales prospects.
  • Campaign Oversight: Monitor and validate ongoing success of all customer activations within the programmatic portfolio.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to develop and refine Zefr's programmatic solutions.
  • Market and Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional service and support to drive satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in programmatic advertising, with a proven track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Technical Skills: Expert understanding of Real-Time Bidding, DSPs (DV360 in particular), SSPs, ad exchanges, and other programmatic industry processes.
    • Preferably also experience with ad sales or activation within the walled garden environments (YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Snap, etc).
  • An understanding of the agency model from the holding company to the agency trading desk.
  • Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary for this position is between $115,000 and $225,000. This role will be eligible for bonus/commission as applicable. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If your compensation expectations fall outside of this range, it may still be worth having a conversation.
