The SMX Global Open-Source Threat Network Disruption Cell ("GOST Cell") is seeking an Integrations Research Analyst. The GOST Cell utilizes publicly available information (PAI), non-traditional information gathering and exploitation methods to provide our customers with insight to counter counterdrug (CD) and counter trans-national organized crime (CTOC). The GOST Cell utilizes commercial subscriptions, social media, financial transactions, and open-sourced geospatial data to identify, disrupt, and interdict trans-national threat networks responsible for illicit drug trafficking, illicit financial flows, and the illicit trafficking of people, wildlife, natural resources, and weapons. SMX is seeking an Integrations Research Analyst to join our Global Open-Source Threat Network Disruption Cell ("GOST Cell").

***Must be living on O'ahu, Hawaii or willing to relocate as required***

This position requires a TS/SCI eligibility security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary GOST Cell Integrations Analyst at Joint Interagency Task Force - West
  • Integrate with CCMD and inter-agency points of contact to enable and drive emerging requests for support
  • Integrate with CCMD and inter-agency points of contact to provide analytic research and analysis in support of time sensitive tasking
  • Apply expertise in operations, intelligence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and collections to enhance the client mission
  • Provide support and counsel on technical matters
  • Establish local continuity and/or standard operating procedures specific to customer site and customer requirements
  • Coordinate and synchronize requirements, between customer and GOST analytical support cell
  • Succinctly incorporate measures of quality assurance and quality control prior to release of intelligence reporting
  • Fuse multidiscipline sources to provide accurate and timely analysis
  • Explore new data sources, create effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources to provide insight to counter counterdrug (CD) and counter trans-national organized crime (CTOC) insights
  • Utilize available industry data, including market data available for purchase, outside reports, and other data provided by the requested agency, to identify threat networks
  • Provide analysis and assessments of commercially available and open-source data, with a specific focus on the geospatial domain, to deliver actionable intelligence reports

Required Skills & Experience
  • Required Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
  • Advanced knowledge of internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial- and industry-based databases
  • Knowledge of national and service-specific OSINT policy and regulations
  • Ability to conduct independent analysis to support mission requirements and use enhanced search procedures and tools to support the usage of PAI
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and tradecraft standards to deliver analytic findings in textual form, graphic annotation, or other formats as directed by the government customer, and develop and present briefings to support customer requirements

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Foreign Area Studies, National Security Studies, Linguistics, or a related research field preferred
  • Identified as recognized Industry leader for a given area of expertise
  • Experience with All-Source analytic principals
  • Experience with advanced search techniques, information databases, data visualization, and related tools
  • Experience converting data collected from multiple sources to perform geospatial analysis
  • Experience utilizing commercially available analytic toolsets, including but not limited to: Analyst's Notebook, ArcMap/ArcPro, Google Earth
