Overview

For over 20 years, this architectural and interior design firm has been delivering forward-thinking integrated design solutions. With offices throughout West Coast and New Jersey, this firm has designed creative offices for clients including Disney, Sony, Dreamworks, and HBO. Currently, they are seeking a Project Manager to lead corporate interiors and tenant improvement in their San Francisco office. The firm is growing rapidly and is seeking several talented managers, designers & architects to join their collaborative studio.

This role requires leveraging strong interpersonal skills and substantial experience in interior and architecture design to deliver exceptional client outcomes. The individual will spearhead all design phases of team projects, exhibiting robust technical knowledge, familiarity with project management aspects such as budgets, delivery, and coordination, while ensuring top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities

Design Expertise:
  • Create and refine test fits and space plans.
  • Lead and oversee the design process from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of project-related MEP and structural engineering, as well as coordination with vendors.
  • Navigate the lease transaction process and contribute to real estate transactions.
  • Efficiently deploy resources to ensure smooth progress of the design process.

Relationship Management and Communication:
  • Foster and sustain strong client relationships, maintaining transparent communication and integrity throughout.
  • Clearly articulate ideas and project updates both verbally and in writing.
  • Drive business growth through exceptional customer service and quality assurance.
  • Preferably possess existing relationships within the Real Estate community.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) and business development tracking is advantageous.

Collaboration and Process Enhancement:
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, engineers, consultants, contractors, construction managers, and clients.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the team and the client to successfully execute design objectives within specified parameters.
  • Demonstrate adeptness in performing effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong management, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise up to six team members.
  • Exhibit supervisory responsibilities in compliance with organizational policies and relevant laws.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new departmental staff.
  • Plan, delegate, and oversee project assignments for the team.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for team members.
  • Possess proficient conflict management and resolution skills.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of pertinent experience in investor and occupier services preferred.
  • Professional Architectural License or certification is required.
  • LEED or WELL accreditation is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, administrative, organizational, and time management skills are crucial.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local building codes related to building projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural and interior design principles and practices, including contemporary methods and solutions for architectural challenges.
