This position requires you to work with a growing civil engineering group on a diverse variety of projects. Project work currently includes civil site development for new and redevelopment sites, grading design, stormwater management (hydraulic and hydrologic design, certification, and permitting), and civil utility design.

Responsibilities
- Working with Bloom's management team to: Pursue new and exciting projects and clients
- Working with Bloom's management team to: Develop marketing and business development strategies for the Civil Engineering Group
- Working with Bloom's management team to: Identify resources and skills necessary to properly support the Civil Engineering group's objectives
- Proactively managing multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously and ensuring the timely submission of high quality and accurate deliverables. This will include contract management, project scheduling and budgeting, setting project priorities and properly allocating staff and other resources to meet the objectives, and leading meetings with Bloom's management team and external partners
- Actively participating in the project planning and design process. This includes, data gathering and field investigations, developing design/feasibility studies, plans, specifications, cost estimates and design reports.
- Maintaining strong positive relationships with existing clients and partnerships and fostering new relationships.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall experience in the engineering field
- 5+ years of project management and client relation experience
- 5+ years of civil design experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in respective state (Wisconsin/Minnesota/Illinois) or willing to obtain
- The ability to: Solve complex problems, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced multi-discipline environment, demonstrate professional and mature judgment under stressful circumstances, recognize potential project and design issues early and act quickly to properly resolve them, adapt to constantly changing client requests, project schedules, staff availably, and management expectations.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and collaborating with internal team members
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Additional certifications relevant to your area(s) of expertise and interest (Not required, but preferred)
- Proficiency with software used in civil engineering design. This includes: Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS, Excel, and Stormwater modeling software such as SLAMM, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, C3D, etc. (Not required, but preferred)
- Marketing and business development (Not required, but preferred)
- Knowledge of basic construction management principals (Not required, but preferred)
- Knowledge of basic surveying principals (Not required, but preferred)
- Preparing and conducting presentations for clients and partners as well as for large audiences at conferences, training sessions, etc. (Not required, but preferred)
