Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading all Human Resource functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of Fisher Barton, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. In this role, you will lead a team of HR Professionals in the following functional areas: talent acquisition, talent development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement.
This role will also be responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice, in line with the company's three core values:

- Exercise general oversight over the administration of the employee benefits program, and health & wellness programs.
- Participate in executive team to plan and formulate the strategic direction of the company, keeping the team informed of government regulations or HR related matters that could have an impact on the company's profitability.
- Coordinate the continued cultural transformation from individual Business Units to a "One Fisher Barton" culture, with standard policies and procedures, common talent development pool across all businesses, and career ladders for all employees hourly and salaried, with curriculum identified in the Fisher Barton University to develop succession plans from within the company.
- Maintain overall supervision of the organization's recruitment, placement, and onboarding programs and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items affect the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the organization.
- Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives, and rewards for effective performance. Develops programs to allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
- Develops appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization. Included in this area would be programs for employee relations, cultural integration, affirmative action, sexual harassment, diversity & inclusion, etc.
- Coordinates activities, shares best practices & programs, and develops & implements strategic HR plans within all the HR departments in the organization.
- Prepare various reports for management review to include HR metrics, turnover rate, safety statistics, etc.
- Responsible for budget performance and for initiating cost saving directives in the human resource department.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Requires a broad knowledge of employment, compensation and benefits, training and development, labor relations, and organization planning.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and personnel policies and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the Board of Directors, groups of managers, executives, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Requires the ability to operate various software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Requires expert level use of ADP or similar HRIS systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar
- SPHR Certification
- 8-10 years progressively responsible generalist experience
- Experience as the top HR executive of a division or organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's Degree in a related field
