Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locums - Red Bluff, California, Hematology/Oncology Opening Clinical Role: * * Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees! * Looking for someone to start FT next year for 6+ months and also looking for specific dates below. * Start: 6/16/25 for 6+ Months * Schedule: M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call then 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun * Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider. No hospital consults required with low volume remote call. MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions. No oncology inpatient services at local hospital * Setting: Outpatient clinic * FTE: 1.0 FTE * Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies. * Required Procedures: N/A. Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider * EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion) * Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs. * Reason for Coverage: Locums one year is up * 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule * 10 patients per day, 1-2 being new * Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day * 7 infusion chairs * Board Certification - Oncology and Hematology preferred. Will consider Board Eligible.
