Job Title: DAJXIB-Assembler C- All Skillsets Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Assembler with 7+ years of experience to perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems. This role requires the ability to select correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, and hardware, as well as the ability to install, fit, fasten, align, adjust, and perform pre-installation assembly work. The position involves working with production and engineering prints to determine exact locations and reporting any job constraints such as errors caused by workmanship, defects in parts, materials, or assembly procedures. Responsibilities Use a computer in a production environment. Look up, read, and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Install various parts and assemblies such as landing gear, aircraft control surfaces, exterior panels, carpets, blankets, roller trays/ball mats, stowbins, sidewalls, ceiling panels, lavatories, galleys, doors, and seats. Install various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, and ducts. Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing. Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts). Use various tools such as a rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, 90-Degree Power Vane, and other hand tools. Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes. Inspect work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris). Use high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting). Perform climbing/balancing on stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, and inclined surfaces. Crawl, crouch, kneel, bend at the waist, and work overhead. Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock). Adhere to high standards of safety and compliance with regulations. Carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds. Perform tasks involving flexion/extension, handling, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking. Required Skills 10+ years of on-aircraft heavy structural, electrical, or systems experience. 5+ years in an MRO/Repair Station/AOG/Travel MODS environment. 5+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies. Proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong effective communication skills. Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing tasks. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to identify common tools. Ability to work with high hazard chemicals. Experience with drilling, reaming, filling, removing and installing fasteners, shimming, accurately measuring, and documenting data. Exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards. Ability to stand for long periods and work in elevated and/or confined spaces. Why Work Here? The role involves frequent overhead work, working in elevated and/or confined spaces, and adhering to high safety and compliance standards. Employees must use safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment at all times. The work environment includes exposure to constant noise and the need for exemplary housekeeping and FOD standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.
