Job Title: Controller Job Description The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities within the organization. This role involves managing the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Controller will also provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and drive the company’s financial performance. Responsibilities Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations. Oversee payments of all accounts, ensuring all accounts are paid on time. Process accounts and collect payments. Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money. Monitor cash and funding balances. Keep an organized filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferred. Previous experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or manager. Additional Skills & Qualifications Seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience. Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders. Manufacturing industry experience. Work Environment The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a budget of $20 million and supervise staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, insurance, and 401(k) administration. Additionally, the Controller will partner with leadership team, and the human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate finance, HR, and IT functions. The Controller will oversee one AP Specialist and will report directly to the owner. The current ERP system is JobBoss.
