DescriptionWe are in the process of hiring a Director of Finance and Operations in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be involved in numerous aspects of financial management, human resources, and facilities, technology, and security management. Responsibilities:• Overseeing the planning and implementation of the company's annual financial plan and budget.• Supervising general ledger and trust accounting activities.• Collaborating with the executive team to enhance financial controls and analyze crucial financial reports.• Conducting internal audits to uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and controls.• Streamlining accounting and billing practices to ensure efficiency.• Overseeing and supervising the firm’s expense, payments, invoicing, and collections functions.• Liaising with IT, detail oriented services, and other vendors to facilitate the smooth function of the company's technology and facilities.• Approving the purchasing of office equipment and supplies and coordinating procurement and renewal of various insurance policies.• Managing firm investments, including related tax and financial reporting.• Assisting partners on various risk and compliance activities and strategic initiatives.• Overseeing firm hiring activities including interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training.• Supervising the payroll function and administering the company's health and benefit plans.• Evaluating all non-legal staff and making recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding their roles and responsibilities, salaries, bonuses, and relevant HR decisions.• Coordinating special facilities construction and improvement projects and, as needed, office relocations.• Supervising staff training on using the company's technology and its applications productively.• Working with IT vendors to ensure that cyber and physical security measures meet industry standards and are up to date.Requirements• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance and operations role.• Proficient in 3M software.• Demonstrated experience with various accounting software systems.• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential.• Must be able to efficiently use Concur software.• Experience with CRM systems is a must.• Solid understanding of accounting functions.• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required.• Ability to create and manage an annual budget.• Proven experience in auditing and budget processes is crucial.Job typePerm
