DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the finance industry, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all financial operations, analyzing financial strengths and weaknesses, proposing corrective actions, and overseeing audit and tax functions. Responsibilities:• Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.• Analyze the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. • Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.• Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures. • Handle all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities.• Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.• Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.• Develop and coordinate relationships with lending/financial institutions.• Develop and maintain a reliable cash forecast process and reporting mechanism.• Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Requirements• Significant experience in the role of Controller, with a minimum of 10 years in similar positions.• Strong proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems.• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.• Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports.• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions.• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).• Proven experience in auditing processes and procedures.• Demonstrated skills in budget processes.• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.• Strong communication and leadership skills.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.Job typePerm
