Must have experience with food regulation standards and have experience leading large teams and working with CEO/Presidents to make decisions for a brand. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Director of Procurement to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of various meat products to meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, market analysis expertise, and a thorough understanding of the meat industry to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.What You Will Be DoingSourcing and Purchasing: Identify, evaluate, and select meat suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure the best terms and prices.Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and quality of meat products. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers. Use this information to make informed purchasing decisions.Quality Assurance: Ensure all meat products meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with quality assurance teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.Cost Management: Develop and manage budgets for meat procurement. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
