Instrumentation & Electrical Technician (I&E Tech)

Position Summary:
Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all electrical equipment, pumps, and motors and assist with mechanical and civil work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pipeline instrumentation and electrical systems including and not limited to; pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, RTD's, thermocouples, density transmitters, MOV's, proximity switches, level transmitters, VFD's, PLC's, 4160 switch gear, pipeline additive units, and 480VAC motor control centers.
* Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions within pipeline power distribution system and associated equipment.
* Safely make repairs to malfunctioning electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
* Maintain documentation and service records as required.
* Identify corrective action if system function or design is incorrect.
* Install, upgrade, and maintain all electrical equipment in accordance with CountryMark's planned maintenance system and to manufacturers' specifications.
* Ensure the regular preventative maintenance activities for all electrical systems including pipeline, load rack, and office buildings.
* Maintain and keep all electrical testing equipment certified and in good working condition.
* Ensure that an adequate number of spare parts are always on hand using a warehouse management system. Submits requisitions as needed.
* Prepare and submit daily work orders, safety permits, and incident reports to comply with CountryMark requirements.
* Maintain truck loading racks and associated equipment at finished product terminals. Including Accuload, relay logic, DTN, additive injector units, load rack grounding equipment, heat trace, VCU's, and MOV's.
* Maintain Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) equipment and battery testing to ensure power system will work when needed.
* Work closely with the project group and engineering on new projects at finished product terminals to ensure projects are completed to CountryMark standards.
* Be able to multi craft, work with Utility Technicians, Pump Mechanics, and Operational personnel to ensure daily maintenance jobs are completed. Along with mechanical/civil project assistance.
* Assist in performing maintenance on PSV's, loading rack and pipeline pumps, assorted valves, product storage tank maintenance, varec level indicators, lubricating associated equipment, install/repair various piping.
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
Education: High School Diploma required. Vocational school, certification, training, or apprenticeship in related field is preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years' Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance work in an industrial setting is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Preferred: NFPA 70E and Allen Bradley PLC Certification.
Other:
* Familiarization with Enterprise Asset Management system(s) is preferred.
* Demonstrate the good judgment, decision making, and command and control skills to thoughtfully operate the electrical systems as required to troubleshoot components or systems during off normal and emergency conditions.
* Ability to apply the skills learned through human performance training to prevent personal errors and errors by other team members.
* Requires regular contact with internal and external persons to discuss issues of moderate importance and to respond to inquiries.
* Requires independent judgment and strong personal integrity.
* Ability to learn, proactively in varied settings from others, and reactively from personal or team mistakes.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage own time efficiently.
