We are seeking to hire an experienced Controller to join their rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's in accounting or finance and hold an active CPA license. They will have proven success in a controllership role within a private equity portfolio. We are looking for a strong leader to oversee and mentor the accounting team focusing on improvement and professional development. This person will report directly to, and work closely with the CFO on financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage department level transactions, recording and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), and ASC 842 (Leases).
- Lead ERP integration projects to streamline financial processes and improve system efficiency.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the CFO in various financial and operational initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the evaluation and execution of asset-based lending transactions and other financing activities.
- Oversee costing activities, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to products and services.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within a private equity portfolio company.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and experience with ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 842.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and experience with ERP integration projects.
- Excellent treasury management skills, including cash flow forecasting and investment strategies.
- Experience with costing and cost allocation processes.
- Experience with asset-based lending transactions is a plus.
