Job Description

This position will manage efforts to obtain targeted sales and profitability in an assigned area by implementing and executing customer solicitation and service policies, programs and objectives. This position manages, develops and is responsible for customer relationship building, technical expertise, pricing and coordination with other BRS team members to achieve profit targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Develops account strategies, territory plans and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
  2. Identifies key target accounts and develops accounts to maximize tonnage, price and mix
  3. Manages contract negotiations, and develops plans to satisfy contractual obligations
  4. Provides market and customer feedback to respective departments
  5. Assists with the monthly planning and forecasting for the territory
  6. Promotes BRS capabilities and unique benefits in the market
  7. Develops and maintains relationships at all levels within the customer organization
  8. Works closely with Quality Assurance, Product Development, Customer Technical Service, Logistics, Finance and Operations to resolve customer issues
  9. Keeps informed of new products, market dynamics and competitive landscape to develop methods to attain and retain customers

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering/technology or closely related field
  2. 5+ years relevant steel industry work experience preferred
  3. High level of detail, problem solving and technical skills
  4. Proven record of accomplishments in sales, building and maintaining positive customer relationships
  5. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet goals and objectives
  6. Demonstrated ability communicate calmly, clearly and persuasively in all situations
  7. Demonstrated group presentation skills
  8. Projects professional appearance, behavior, manners and etiquette
  9. Effectively interprets and makes business decisions using financial information
  10. Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This position requires a flexible schedule. Hours could include overtime, nights, weekends as well as travel with little or no advance notice. This position requires the ability to work on hot/cold manufacturing environments.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position could potentially supervise others.
