What you will be doing

Our Enterprise Marketing team is searching for a Director, Marketing Product Management who will lead the development of our Martech and Adtech vision and the multi-year roadmaps that deliver new and connected digital solutions for marketing. As the single threaded leader for Marketing Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategies to drive growth and customer engagement. You will lead a team of product managers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative marketing solutions for targeted and one on one personalized marketing campaigns. Your expertise in product management, combined with deep understanding of the retail and grocery industry, will be instrumental in enhancing our digital marketing campaigns as we continue our transformation towards one-on-one marketing. To succeed in this role, you will be a strategic and ambitious visionary with the proven ability to deliver products that create impact and deliver exceptional value to the end customer. The leader in this role will possess the expertise to influence people, process and technology in a manner that enriches the customer experience and overall team performance. The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA.

Main responsibilities
  • Lead development of product strategy, prioritization, and management for new and existing marketing and advertising technology platforms, tools, and initiatives
  • Responsible for defining and executing on all aspects of the product management for discovery, shopping and conversion from strategy and inception to delivery to drive digital solutions.
  • Responsible for collecting and interpreting user research and data, conceiving innovative products, creating a robust product roadmap, and managing the product lifecycle.
  • Lead definition of a Product Vision and communicate its narrative through short-term and long-term roadmaps and capabilities
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of innovative and customer-obsessed digital product managers by recruiting top talent and designing the team's organizational structure to foster a strong product culture.
  • Support with scaling and optimization of our marketing efforts by building or buying tools to enhance our marketing communication delivery to our customers and its measurement (Email, Social, Display, Push, SMS Campaign Management, Customer Data Platform, Digital Asset Management, and more)
  • Define, monitor, and measure product metrics and KPIs, incorporate learnings into product definition and development process
  • Drive innovation through the Identification of unmet industry needs and disruption opportunities in Martech and Adtech Synthesize research from agency users, and marketing partners to balance big ideas with day-to-day feature requests
  • Partner with a diverse set of stakeholders across the organization to solicit ideas, influence strategy and generate buy-in to proposed actions, while maintaining an objective position
  • Build tools that solve problems for internal users, build integrations, systems, API's marketing tools for grocery delivery, drive-up-and-go and online/ecommerce
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, including IT, marketing, operations, other product teams, to deliver successful products and/or features, including process, and change management.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle - defining features, writing specifications and measurement metrics and iterate through A/B Testing and data-centric designs
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing products and campaigns, using data to inform future strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance product offerings and marketing capabilities.
  • Drive innovation in marketing techniques and product offerings, staying ahead of industry trends and customer expectations.
The salary range is $150,900 - $211,260. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

What we are searching for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar required, or equivalent experience; Master's preferred
  • 10+ years relevant experience in Martech with 5+ years in e-commerce/internet in Platform product management within a Marketing or Technology organization
  • 6 years in senior level operations or product leadership positions
  • 6 years experience years of experience in building and launching complex products and platforms at scale and providing product direction.
  • 6 years of experience in building, designing, and launching technology products and platforms for customer or supplier experience such as category and brands pages, shopping funnels, and advertising.
  • 6 years experience with technical product backlog management and prioritization of product features and user stories in high-tech, digital or ecommerce domain.
  • 5 years of experience in managing product development lifecycle including defining product goals; defining requirements with engineering teams, translating business requirements into engineering project plans; and interfacing with teams, UX designers, and QA/testing teams.
  • 5 years experience in managing direct reports in a high- tech, digital or ecommerce company.
  • 5 years experience years of experience in designing and building customer-facing products, defining product vision, strategy, and measurable metrics of success, and building iteration plan.
  • 5 years of experience in defining customers' experience by analyzing user behavior and user workflow, in coordination with internal stakeholders and partnership with UX designers.
  • 4 years of experience in defining business goals, execution steps, go-to-market activities, and analyzing business return.
  • Extensive experience in the retail or grocery industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Ability to build, motivate and lead teams to successful results
  • Proven expertise to influence people, process and technology in a manner that enriches the customer experience and overall team performance
