Position Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible to help align HR with the business goals. The HRBP will be responsible for general HR functions, ensuring compliance with HR policies, federal and state labor laws, attract and retain talent, evaluate and monitor and enhance employee engagement initiatives. The HRBP will lead training and development, manage recruiting programs, and support employee relations efforts.

The HRBP will lead training and development, manage recruiting programs, and support employee relations efforts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for various HR functions while providing backup to the HR Specialist in payroll, benefits administration, and onboarding, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance.
- Support the review and maintenance of the Employee Handbook to reflect current practices and legal requirements, ensuring all policies are clearly communicated.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws across all HR practices.
- Provide proactive guidance on employee relations issues, facilitating conflict resolution and promoting a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with department heads to address employee concerns and support performance management processes, fostering a culture of open communication.
- Partner with department heads to identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.
- Actively recruit top talent and ensure a seamless onboarding process, aligning with departmental staffing needs to enhance performance and provide a positive experience for new hires.
- Assess training needs and design development programs for staff, aligning initiatives with individual and organizational objectives.
- Work with the Director to implement mentoring and buddy programs that promote employee growth and retention, enhancing overall workforce engagement.
- Partner with external vendors to deliver training sessions, including mandatory compliance training, ensuring employees are well-informed and skilled.
- Collaborate with department heads to clarify role expectations and establish clear career pathways, promoting professional development.
- Regularly review HR policies and practices to ensure compliance, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Support the HR Director on various HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong emphasis on strategic partnership and organizational development.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leaders at all levels to drive HR initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations, with a strong track record of ensuring compliance.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification required; continuous professional development in HR best practices preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in compensation analysis, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- Solid experience in employee relations, with a focus on resolving conflicts and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing comprehensive training and development programs that align with organizational goals and enhance employee capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems, with the ability to leverage technology for data-driven decision-making.
