The base pay range for this position is $93.5k-140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 11/22/2024.

The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing project quality activities for GEH Advanced Nuclear projects.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform Quality activities for Advanced Nuclear project activities for compliance to regulatory, customer and GEH internal requirements.
- Work proactively with cross functional teams to define specific quality requirements and processes to ensure products and services meet the GEH and customer quality requirements.
- Work to resolve quality concerns through use of the corrective action program including performance of causal analyses.
- Execute project quality oversight through the conduct of project surveillances and internal/external audits.
- Apply quality and technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex problems.
- Review condition reports, audits, self-assessment reports and KPI information to identify trends and develop recommendations for performance improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring quality assurance requirements are met throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), as required for Advanced Nuclear project activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support or working in a nuclear quality assurance related capacity.
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ISO-9001 and other technical standards pertinent to new nuclear reactor projects.
- Knowledge of Nuclear customers, industry programs and competitive environments.
- Exhibit a strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Experience in software quality assurance activities such as software control, independent verification and validation testing.
- Qualified as a Root / Apparent Cause Analysis Leader.
- Experience conducting project quality assurance oversight activities through quality program audits and surveillances.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focused team environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other GEH/GE, customer and supplier facilities/sites.
- Demonstrated self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, proven ability to develop team relationships.
- Experience interacting with senior leadership at customer and/or regulatory organizations.
- Demonstrated desire to be involved in a rapidly changing and challenging work environment.
