Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a full-time, talented, team-focused CAD Designer to join our transportation group. The position is primarily focused on transportation infrastructure projects and has a variety of designer, drafting and modeling opportunities.

Salary Range(s):
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a full-time, talented, team-focused CAD Designer to join our transportation group. The position is primarily focused on transportation infrastructure projects and has a variety of designer, drafting and modeling opportunities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Produce civil drawings and 3 dimensional models in Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D
- Organizing and maintaining a digital file database for each project using Bentley ProjectWise software
- Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms
- Facilitating and ensuring the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team
- Communicating with other team members during the 3D model and plan production
- Understanding ProjectWise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members
- Creation of roadway alignments, profiles, templates and corridors
- CAD surface and digital terrain modeling
- Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production
- Work to meet project schedules
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with civil infrastructure projects - roadway, utility, and rail projects highly desirable
- Proficiency in Bentley InRoads/Open Roads
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a "team player" approach to design and problem solving
- Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products
Education and Experience
- Associates or Technical Degree
- 5 years of CAD experience
