As the VP of Planning and Analytics, you will be the driver of process and analytics that act as the headwaters from which all commercial, supply chain, and operational planning flow. You will live at the crossroads of many functions to ensure short and long-term plans are developed fully, flow throughout the supply chain clearly, and are executed cleanly.
Responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies in both long and short-term horizons, you will be accountable for all aspects of the planning process. This includes multi-year sales strategic planning activities, demand forecasting, go-to-market strategies, and analytics expertise to drive the growth and success of USPCC. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong business acumen, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do as a VP OF PLANNING AND ANALYTICS:
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategic Planning
- Through cross-functional collaboration, develop and execute comprehensive (Customer/Brand/ Product) multi-year demand and commercial planning strategies to support the company's growth objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Own an on-going Integrated Business Planning process to guide and ensure alignment across teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to achieve budget, inventory, and EBITDA targets.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and manage the long-range commercial budget to ensure Capex and investment aligns with business needs.
- Lead a team of planning professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of planning initiatives.
Demand Planning
- With continuous improvement, utilize historical data, micro retail shifts, and macro trends to oversee forecasting activities to accurately predict demand to optimize inventory levels.
- Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall inventory turns.
- Act in a customer-facing capacity as needed and steer teams to engage in direct collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment (CPFR) activities with accounts.
- Work with sales, design, and marketing to drive proper segmentation by retail channel, brand, and product to identify optimal product mix/pricing/margin strategies for each.
- Spearhead the go-to-market (G2M) process to ensure accurate forecasting and successful roll-outs of new or pivoting products.
Analytics COE Leader
- Utilizing key trade reports and data (Circana, Nielsen, etc.), work in-step with marketing to understand consumer behavior and needs to inform G2M strategies.
- Drive the standardization of reporting and analysis of strategic trade partners' sales and POS data to drive opportunities and better decision-making.
- Lead data analytics activities by taking internal and external inputs to formulate clear and concise directives to optimize sales, demand, and planning decisions.
- Feverishly leverage consumer insights, market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive analysis to inform planning strategies, initiatives, and organizational decisions.
Showing Success
- KPIs for this role include, but are not limited to, forecast accuracy, fill-rate, stock-outs, and inventory turns.
- Planning is a continuous activity and as such, will be on a cadence that delivers organizational needs in a timely manner.
- It is expected that this role will drive continuous improvement in all metrics.
We're looking for a VP OF PLANNING AND ANALYTICS with:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in planning, supply chain management, or operations, preferably in wholesale or the consumer products industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful planning strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Solid understanding of demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain optimization principles.
- Proficient in using planning software and ERP systems to drive planning and forecasting processes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.

- Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
- Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
- This VP OF PLANNING AND ANALYTICS position is located on-site in our Erlanger facility
