Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer is preferred but not required, plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in land development and/or public works; or the equivalent work experience of eight (8) years in the industry. Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of two (2) years of supervising the work of engineers, designers, and other project support staff.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate:
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam experience is required.

Candidates for this position must demonstrate:
- Ability to prepare grading and public improvement plans from conceptual design to final construction documents to support residential, multi-family / mixed-use and commercial and campus-type development
- Ability to prepare and process technical studies and site plans to obtain entitlements for land development projects
- Ability to prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for public infrastructure improvement plans, such as street, sewer, and storm drain improvement plans
- Site assessment, the ability to perform engineering design studies (incorporating infrastructure requirements and potential regulatory issues)
- Preparation/processing of regulatory plans
- Ability to perform constructability reviews
- Experience with a range of construction support services
- Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards & procedures.
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam experience is required.

- Relates well and maintains a high level of respect and confidence from co-workers in public agencies
- Demonstrates a high level of competence in written and oral communication
- Ability to prepare exhibits, studies, and final plans
