Business Operations Analyst

Summary: This position will support SPR business operations by focusing on optimizing processes, pricing strategies, and margin improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Merchandizing, and other departments in development of new tools and processes that drive data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
Location: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to managers and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, margin variances, price realization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to handle or feel. This position requires up to 15% of travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Retrieve, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business operations
- Visualize key performance indicators, including price performance, margin trends, and various operational metrics
- Develop and implement improvements to SPR's pricing structures and systems
- Convert business strategies into mathematical algorithms in the PROS software and adjacent pricing systems
- Evaluate various business proposals and margin enhancement opportunities
- Successfully influence and manage internal relationships to achieve price and margin objectives
- Advise and influence Business Leaders towards optimal strategies for their books of business
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly analytical with the ability to solve complex business problems using advanced data analytics techniques
- Understanding of pricing, finance, and business profitability concepts
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams on business process enhancements
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders and successfully drive organizational change
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

- Strong team orientation with ability to work collaboratively and influence across the organization
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM fields is required
- Advanced experience with Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI or Tableau
- Advanced experience with ETL techniques and software, such as SQL, Alteryx, R, Python
- Preferred experience with pricing software, such as PROS, Zilliant, Price FX, Vendavo
