SUMMARY: The Pricing Operations Manager will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Pricing and work closely with the Sales team, Merchandizing, and Customers on implementation and maintenance of pricing contracts. The Pricing Operations Manager will also be instrumental in driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with pricing policies and standards.

The individual should be a highly motivated and organized, with knowledge and experience of various pricing processes. An equally important part of the job is to develop and leverage strong working relationships with all internal functions of SPR that touch the Customer.

This is a Full-Time position that works out of SP Richards' company headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Location: Smyrna, GA (Near Battery Center)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and logic for calculating contract prices across different product lines and customer segments
  • Manage the pricing operations team by recruiting, developing, and retaining pricing talent
  • Manage execution of the monthly price increase process and daily price change request process with the goal of optimizing company profitability
  • Oversee the use of pricing systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Continuously seek opportunities to improve pricing processes
  • Perform business analysis, market analysis and support managerial decision making with the goal of identifying revenue leakage and finding ways to increase profit

  • Team management: Lead the pricing operations team, provide training, and support to ensure high performance and continuous professional development. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
  • Analytical: Financial and business acumen to analyze customer performance and results
  • Cross-functional Problem Solving and Project Management: Lead cross-functional initiatives to address pricing-related challenges. Work with IT, Sales, and Merchandizing to improve pricing systems and capabilities
  • Strong work ethics: ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly pricing data that must adhere to strict deadlines. Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility in managing this critical deliverable to avoid business disruptions.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or compensatory work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pricing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience

Language Ability:
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Understanding of cost accounting and statistics is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Strong business acumen and analytical skills

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills:

  • Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis. Experience with SQL, Alteryx, Power Query and Power BI is a plus
  • Experience using pricing software, e.g. PROS, Zilliant, PriceFX, Vendavo
  • Experience working with IT professionals on pricing system and tool enhancements

  • This position includes periods of spreadsheet intensive work and may require sitting for long periods of time
  • This position includes frequent phone calls and internal communication with other SPR departments.
