Summary
Administers and monitors human resources activities for an 800-member company (Empire - North Carolina) to ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and corporate policies. Works closely with hiring managers to develop and execute effective hiring, recruiting and retention strategies. Coaches and trains managers as needed in all aspects of teammate resources. Initiates training presentations to managers and teammates and conducts training on pertinent teammate resources topics. Effectively manages sensitive teammate discussions and situations and provides counsel on actions required to be taken. Collects data and prepares initial responses to governmental agencies. Works closely with the Corporate Benefit Manager and is responsible for presenting employee open enrollment benefit meetings and answering employee benefit questions. Provides overall management to all Company leave policies, ensuring compliance with all state/government regulations, in alignment with Corporate Legal directives. Coordinates, investigates, and resolves necessary payroll actions with Corporate Payroll Manager. Manages, interacts with, and collaborates with site Teammate Resources Generalists/Coordinators to ensure consistency in corporate practices. Other duties as assigned by Corp. Director/SVP of HR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures hiring and recruiting practices are in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Works directly with all hiring managers to ensure compliance with EEO and OFCCP standards.
Develops management information reports (MIR) to document progress in HR areas such as new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, employee turnover, terminations, and unemployment compensation reporting. Generates management discussions and coaching opportunities as a result of MIRs.
Works directly with outside vendors and hiring managers to enhance recruiting initiatives and effectiveness.
Maintains and updates charts, diagrams and staffing reports. Collaborates directly with managers and provides coaching/training for any outliers.
Reviews all progressive discipline matters, works with applicable managers to ensure consistency and constancy in practice. Communicates directly with teammates as needed and participates or leads collaborative discussions.
Trains/retrains, and coaches managers and supervisors on application of policies and procedures.
Administers established performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Conducts teammate exit interviews. Reviews responses to teammate questionnaires and processes accordingly.
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
Investigates and responds to unemployment inquiries.
Manages teammate leave programs.
Works closely with Corporate Benefit Manager and Corporate Payroll Manager as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Director/SVP of TR
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position supervises Site Teammate Resources Generalists/Coordinators within the state of NC.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B.S.)) from a four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to demonstrate skills at an intermediate to advanced level in word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), presentations (MS PowerPoint) and Email (MS Outlook). Must have advanced level experience with HRIS program, preferably with ADP Workforce Now.
