What You'll Do
The Data Support Specialist works closely with the Foster in Texas team and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the data and maintaining current and up-to-date records using the designated program database. This is a grant funded position for a specified period per the grant and/or funding.

Work Standards
- Develop and maintain tracking systems and record keeping processes for program services based on program needs as requested
- Oversee and support the data entry and record keeping of client files and information using the program’s designated database
- Regularly audit the accuracy of client information and ensure consistency in the data collection and compliance with grant funding requirements and guidelines and Agency and program standards
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Communication
- Generate weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports upon request or established reporting deadline
- Support and maintain a resource library within the designated program database or other identified database and update on a regular basis or as new information becomes available; identify and document resources to support changes within the grant requirements
- Create processes and procedures to ensure the confidentially of electronic client information and client files and records

Teamwork
- Assist with auditing of client files and database records to ensure program validation
- Work closely with the Statewide Director and program staff to ensure client information and data collection is secure, accurate, and complete and meets audit requirements; always maintain audit readiness of client files and the database
- Provide administrative support and back-up to Foster in Texas team and administrative staff as needed
- Work closely with the Foster in Texas team to ensure case management services as it relates to T3C are addressed and delivered in a timely manner and the program process is operating effectively and efficiently

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with foster parents, external stakeholder and community to ensure survivor needs are being met

- Actively participate in exhibiting cultural awareness and sensitivity when interacting with foster parent(s) staff, and the community
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer science or closely related field, experience may be considered in lieu of education
- 1 year experience in a data support function
- 1 year experience utilizing a web-based or data collection system
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to always interact with clients in a compassionate and empathic manner
- Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work and interact with diverse groups of people
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple requests and job expectations
- Demonstrated experience at providing quality and accurate data entry
- Ability to maintain confidential filing and data collection
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; take initiative and work with limited supervision
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with client management, case management or social solutions database, highly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
