SUMMARY
The Specialist, Communications II shapes and executes the organizations internal communication strategy to inform store associates with consistent and engaging content across digital, print, and live communication channels. This person collaborates with other departments and senior leaders to develop, edit, and publish communications on a daily basis, including assisting with the planning and execution of quarterly meetings, reporting on key metrics, identifying trends, and providing solutions. Manages communications projects with various stakeholders, handles budgets, schedules quarterly meetings , tracks metrics, identifies trends, and provides solutions. Possesses exceptional writing skills, and strategic thinking abilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organizations goals and objectives in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Communications and Operations.
- Certifies that all communications are consistent with the companys brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
- Works with colleagues to reflect the companys brand through internal communications and sponsorship activities within the organization, which drives reputation and business results.
- Produces high-quality, engaging content for print and digital channels for routine publication.
- Coordinates calendars and communication plans to align departments.
- Drafts store communications based on requests submitted from other departments on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis for publication via email, the Store Portal, and the Monday conference call notes.
- Maintains intranet site for store associates, including creating, editing, and updating web content graphic updates and internal/external resources.
- Develops intranet site enhancements that create a more efficient and engaging associate experience in collaboration with other departments.
- Works with the corporate communications team to develop annual and as-needed communications strategies and plans in support of division priorities.
- Drives communications program implementation including effectively managing resources, timelines and deliverables.
- Plans and executes communications events, including lunch-and-learns, managers meetings, and other special events.
- Designs and implements effective internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and alignment with the organizations goals.
- Analyzes and reports on the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to make informed decisions and improvements.
- Provides guidance and support to Store Support Center and operations team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Protects the companys assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- 2 - 4 years of related experience.
- Experience in a senior or leadership role is preferred.
- Project Management experience.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of communication channels and strategies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
