Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Medstaff is assisting with Pediatric Hospitalist coverage for a client located in Urbana, IL. Here are the details: * Looking for a Pediatric Medicine physician who is Board Certified or within 18 months of residency ready to sit for the boards * Requires an IL license, DEA and some recent pediatric hospitalist experience * Coverage is flexible, based on the client's needs, Sun-Sat, normally 7am-5pm or 5pm-7am, 2-5 shifts at a time * Census: 150-180 PICU admits per year; 200-260 intermediate admits per year (avg daily census 2-7) and about 3-5 patients in the ICU (avg daily census 3) * Most patients are medical. Surgical cases are normally initiated by the PICU physicians or are elective. * Pediatric sedation service is in place. Hospitalists cover all of the sedations and Pediatric ICU physicians do sedations that are ASA III * The ICU manages mechanical ventilation, HFOV and inhaled nitric oxide. Trauma patients (>14 years of age), post-op patients (general surgery, OMFS, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, ortho, spine, ENT, etc.). * EMR is EPIC * Requires Proof of COVID Vaccination and a clean background * Credentialing will take about 60-90 days, looking for a 3-6 month commitment, possibly ongoing For more information, please contact Ledell Ray-Coleman at .
