Summary

The Senior Program Manager is a leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of multiple large-scale or complex construction programs. This includes the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects adhere to budget, timeline, quality, and safety standards. They will lead cross-functional teams, foster strong client relationships, and drive the continuous improvement of program delivery processes.

Responsibilities
• Program Planning & Development

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish program scope, goals, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements.

- Create detailed program plans, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and contingency planning.

- Develop and refine program management methodologies and tools.
• Program Execution

- Oversee the management of multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with the overall program objectives.

- Lead cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions.
• Financial Management

- Establish and manage program budgets, tracking costs, and approving expenditures.

- Forecast potential financial risks and develop mitigation plans.

- Prepare financial reports for stakeholders and senior management.
• Client & Stakeholder Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.

- Manage expectations, negotiate contracts, and resolve conflicts effectively.

- Communicate regularly with stakeholders providing status updates, progress reports, and issue resolution insights.
• Quality and Safety Compliance

- Enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

- Champion a culture of safety on worksites and proactively address potential hazards.
• Project Closeout

- Ensure smooth project closeout, including completion of documentation, final inspections, and handover to clients.

- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
• Team Development

- Mentor and coach project managers and other staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Experience

- 7- 10 years of experience in construction or production-based project management, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity managing complex programs.

• Certifications

- PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred. Other relevant certifications (LEED, CCM, etc.) are advantageous.

• Skills

- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

- Financial acumen and ability to analyze and manage complex budgets.

- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.

- Advanced understanding of risk management principles.

- Proficient in project management software (MS Office, MS Project, Procore etc.).
