PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Located within a 45 minute drive to Indianapolis, Indiana, a general BE/BC Anesthesiologist is being recruited to join a thriving independent group practice consisting of 12 Anesthesiologists and 4 CRNAs. 

  • They cover a diverse range of cases including:   General, Bariatric, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urology, Endo GI, Bronchoscopy, Vascular, Pediatric Dental, Cath Lab and OB-GYN. 

  • The new anesthesiologist will be able to perform a mix of her/his own cases and supervision of nurse anesthetists in a care team model.

  • This is a private group practice of physician owners who contract exclusively with one hospital system.

  • You will join a network encompassing many specialties and will also receive administrative support allowing you to focus on patient care and service.

  • Hospital:  Their local hospital provides 24-hour emergency and inpatient services, rehabilitation services, surgical services, and laboratory and diagnostic service.

  • The majority of the physicians rotate through various cases/areas and serve as general anesthesiologists.  They cover Labor and Delivery, OR, Endo, Pediatrics, and Anesthesia during Radiology if needed.  There are five physicians who only do Cardiovascular (CV) cases. 

  • Work & Call Schedule:

  • The workload call is currently 1 in 6.

  • The OR requires coverage 24/7.  The physicians schedules are on a rotation and include night and weekend coverage.  A day in the OR typically begins at 7 am and ends 5 pm.  One physician is then on call for the night and must be able to be onsite within twenty minutes. 

  • A day in the Endoscopy typically begins at 8 am and ends 5 pm.  The Cardiovascular physicians have a separate call schedule.  CRNAs work schedule:  four days a week for ten hours a day.  They do not take call, and do not do the rotation nor nights. 

  • Availability:  Anesthesiologists who are completing their training during 2024 and those who have work experience are both strongly welcome to apply and will be seriously considered.

 

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

  • The physicians own the practice as equal partners.  Their operation is fair and equal.
  • They have excellent physician retention.
  • Financial compensation, workload call (1 in 6), and vacation (8 weeks) are considered very competitive when compared regionally and nationally.

  • They also offer bonuses.
  • Benefits and employment are through the Practice which offers medical insurance,  401k and profit sharing. 
  • Incoming/New physicians:  They have a potential partnership option after one year of employment.
  • A full partnership is achieved in an eighteen-month time frame.
