The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file petitions with the probate court, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Responsibilities: Understand estate planning, trust administration and probate law and procedureDraft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, petitions for probate, notices, and affidavits under the supervision of a lawyerManage case load, including independently tracking of all deadlines and progress of all mattersHelp lawyers prepare for hearings and client meetings by organizing and summarizing documents and information provided by clients, assisting with client meetings, following up with clients and others to obtain additional informationPerform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible Qualifications: • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred Compensation: $62,500 - $69,000 yearly
