This newly created position will play a key role in advancing Regeneron’s long-standing commitment to responsible business practices, sustainability and transparency.

Performance measurement is essential to driving progress towards our responsibility goals. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) data collection, analysis and verification. Importantly, this includes establishing processes and controls that are appropriate as well as scalable for future growth. ESG key performance indicators (KPIs) can cover topics such as: access to medicines, environmental sustainability, responsible supply chain, and community giving.

This person will work with internal stakeholders across all levels of our global organization to align on accountabilities and identify and provide information for important corporate materials/disclosures, including the annual Responsibility Report, regulatory filings, relevant investor documents and ratings and ranking submissions. The remit will include administering Regeneron’s ESG data software solution, which houses our KPIs, and facilitating assurance of publicly reported ESG data. The position will also be responsible for tracking ESG disclosure and reporting requirements and supporting preparedness efforts for future regulations.

A typical day may include the following:

Implement and uphold best practices of ESG data collection including validation procedures/internal controls to ensure data quality and integrity.

Develop ESG scorecard and conduct periodic performance analyses, drawing on insights from external benchmarking and best practices.

Analyze internal ESG data to identify trends, establish key performance indicators, and visualize findings for reporting. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Human Resources, Facilities, Procurement, Environment, Health & Safety) to support an accurate, timely and comprehensive collection of ESG data, and remediate data quality issues with subject-matter experts, reviewers and auditors

Manage and refine tools for effectively gathering ESG data from diverse sources within the organization.

Ensure auditability and traceability through implementing and maintaining internal controls, including defined data lineage and logging.

Support tracking and preparing for upcoming ESG disclosure and reporting requirements, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the U.S. SEC’s Climate Change Disclosure Rule.

Manage ESG data software solution, including implementing and enhancing data governance structure and internal controls to ensure proper management of ESG data

Support responses to priority ESG ratings and rankings, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

Lead special projects to advance Regeneron’s responsibility commitments

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Bachelor's degree in sustainability, business, economics, or engineering. 3-5 years of experience in data analytics and project management. Knowledge of SOX controls and audit concepts. Demonstrated experience in ESG data management and data collection. Relevant experience with ESG reporting, standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and rating and rankings is preferred. ​Experience with the implementation and administration of data management systems is preferred. Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

$110,900.00 - $181,100.00
