TheDartmouth Cancer Centerat Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seek anAdvanced Practice Providerto work collaboratively to provide high quality, compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care through theSection of Hematologyin our Lebanon, New Hampshire practice.The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with established Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant clinicians, the Palliative Care Team and the survivorship program. The Advanced Practice Provider will also participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and research protocols as well as have the opportunity to participate in quality improvement projects with the Cancer Center and the DHMC Value Institute. Academic endeavors are encouraged and supported and there is peer support with a well-established hematology/oncology nurse practitioner group. This position holds a faculty rank at the level of Instructor through The Geisel School of Medicine.What we are seeking:
- An experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant with experience in oncology, or a new graduate with experience as an oncology RN.

Qualifications
APRN Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
- Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Eligible for APRN licensure in the State of New Hampshire and State of Vermont.
- Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certification.
- Eligible for PA license in the State of New Hampshire and State of Vermont.
- Eligible for federal DEA registration.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to individuals and their families from diagnosis through end-of-life including identification and treatment of acute and late effects of therapy. Performs procedures as required for patient assessment including bone marrow biopsies and intrathecal chemotherapy.
- Work closely with the clinic nurses and provider staff assisting in coordination of care for patients under treatment and management of acute therapy side effects. Works with clinic nursing staff to triage patient telephone calls and provide recommendations.
- Fully integrate into section functions including multidisciplinary case conferences [tumor boards], faculty meetings, research and quality improvement projects when applicable.
- Actively participate in the Advanced Practice Provider team of the Dartmouth Cancer Center through attendance of monthly team meetings, journal club, biannual peer review process and annual retreat as appropriate.
- Prepares for, participates in and attends required conferences, meetings and committees as requested.
- Teaching opportunities.Academic appointment with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth at a level commensurate with experience.
- Participates in clinical research, relevant to the hematology patient population, providing clinical care and follow-up assessments as required by protocol.
- Participates in the education and professional development of fellows, residents, nurses, medical students and other health care providers as appropriate.
