The Role
Do you want to make a difference at the enterprise level and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to ensuring the quality of various reporting and voting activities for Fidelity Fund Investment Operations (FFIO)? We are looking for a Investment Proxy Research Co-Op who will aid in the review & analysis of the proxy materials and conduct and oversee certain votes in accordance with Fidelity's proxy voting guidelines. You will collect and analyze voting and engagement statistics and conduct research on corporate governance and executive compensation trends. In addition, your responsibilities include:
Stays current with corporate governance and executive compensation trends and conducts additional research as needed
Maintains strong working relationships with peers, internal business partners, and external vendors to support the voting process and conduct research
Contributes to department-wide initiatives in support of individual, team, and department

Proven record prioritizing multiple priorities, high volumes, timelines and resolving sophisticated problems
Advanced Excel skills conducting data analysis with proven ability to draw conclusions and summarize findings
Ability to identify operational improvement opportunities
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Strong sense of ownership, accountability and focus on achieving objectives
Ability to collaborate with senior personnel and business partners
This dynamic Investment Proxy Research team within FFIO coordinates the proxy voting programs for Fidelity's affiliated advisors including FMRCo, FIAM, FIC, Strategic Advisers, and other internal business partners. Program activities include corporate governance research and analysis, portfolio company engagement, policy development, vote execution and operations, various reporting, and disclosure of vote activity.
